  1. 1. a) Life Support systems are an integral part of a deep space habitation capability.
    Habitation systems will provide a safe place for humans as we travel deeper into space, and life support is key to survival inside a deep space habitat.
    b) To survival under the Moon environment,that are diffenrant of the world.
    c) I thIt should be strong, easy to move, safe and stable.

  2. 1. a) The function of life support module is to maintain organisms life by making an artificial environment. It could facilitate food resources, herbal medicine, producing water system and aeration, etc.
    b) Because the moon environment is incompatible with living systems, there is no air and atmosphere make human habitat to be very tough. It also couldn’t grow any plant and organism. So we need a room which could maintain human needs.
    c) The sketch as following an attachment file.

    2. I think they could recognize by using facial expression and behavior activities to estimate student mental health. The camera could monitor their behavior if something wrong inside the system.

  3. 1. a) The potential function of the life support module that I would submit which is the water and electric generator is to provide the most important things like water and electricity, so the people inside moon environment lab will not depend on outside supply or earth supply (if the lab was already on moon). The lab will be independent for producing water and electricity. It also makes more efficient and lower the cost instead of make rockets and use hundred liter of fuel for sending the supplies to moon.

    b) It is important because it will make easiness for the crew inside the lab to do deep research and also it will gives the crew more time to spend because they already got supply for themselves, beside of produce water and electricity, it can be used to grow plants for food like potatoes, carrot, fruits, etc. So they don’t need to worry about get out of the food stock because they could produce it.

    2. we could use some special helmet that already attach with high-tech module that could read our brain condition, and in the back of the helmet there is a little part that can projecting signal to a modified CCTV that already use special lens, so the signal that projected from little part of helmet could be detected by monitors with some color, which every color is determined for different emotion. so we will know if one of the student was stressed out, sad, angry, or confuse, etc.

  4. 1 a) If i have an opportunity to submit the conceptual design of life support module, i will submit 2 point. First, food and agricultural product processing for a longer astronaut life in the moon or space such as transformation canning and irradiation because this processing will extend food and agricultural product’s life for food shortage times. Second, growing medicinal herbs for treatment because For astronaut, health is as important as food.
    b) Because this function can cultivate some plants and animals under lunar environment, that is the food source for astronauts.
    c) On the file attachment.
    2. For me, i think we can monitor the student mental health in China’s Moon environment laboratory by the frequency radiation characteristic around the human body via a computer vision technique from CCTV with wireless frequency data acquisition.

  5. 1. a) Everything in the module can recycling 100%.
    b) Living in a limited environment and various risks that might harmful to the persons. in emergency, if we can recycling by ourselves, the opportunity to survive also higher.
    2. I think we can develop a picture from human face that caused the disease as a database for students face scan from CCTV to predicted the chance of disease.

  6. a). The life support module should be based on the idea to hold all the necessary equipment and facilities those responsible to support life. To make it simple, it should have the facility of oxygen, water supply, sustainable food supply and health unit. In addition, to have stored food items, there should be a continuous cycle for the production of fruits and vegetables to become a self-sustain space cabin. There should be a biogas production facility both for fuel and electrical energy generation.
    b). Since as far as the exploration of moon for supporting every kind of life is still under development, that’s why this function of the module is quite necessary to provide all the necessities to support the living of all scientists and crew who are involved in space exploration and engaged there to explore the ideology of complete-life possible on moon.
    c). after having a review on Lunar Palace 1, where many important sections have been considered so far. I may want to suggest the below sketch;

    Physical, medical, biochemical and genetic (epigenetic) observation prior to and post cabin experience.
    Including different age group volunteers
    Medium and long term stay behaviour
    Plant-microbe interaction analysis for space-agriculture and bioremediation
    Storage and production of food with high carbohydrates, fats and proteins.

    2). After the volunteers’ behaviour detection, tracking of actions and their recognition and relation with the scenario, location, and others actions are networked to analyse the human behaviour under the experienced and skilled psychologists. To simplify, the behaviour, way of interaction and communication of the students with their fellows and surrounding in China’s Lunar Palace 1 could be monitored and compared with their behaviours recorded visually or via questionnaire prior to going the Moon environment laboratory to dig out the alterations, which may provide sufficient knowledge of launching such set up on moon.

  8. 1. a. Life supports are used for humans who were in the wild in space to survive, because conditions in space with the earth were very different both soil temperatures and air.

    b. Life support system can be usefull for human in space, because that will be food and energy source for human in space. So, Hydroponics can produce more oxygen than plants planted in soil, and plants with this hydroponic system grow without sunlight, making it possible to apply within China’s moon laboratory. As already discovered that NASA has built a device used for water management, where the working principle of the device is to cultivate wastewater, urine, And humidity becomes clean water and can be used using the pseudomonas and nitrosomonas bacteria. Taking advantage of fresh water prepared by means of the instrument, it can be directed to hydroponics by connecting the water pipes to hydroponics at the top, allowing the water to flow from the top to the bottom.

    2. We can see the behaviors of the student. If any behavior begins to appear unusual or unusual in one of the students, then it is best to be noticed and given proper attention.

  9. 1. a). Life support system is a system that is used to generate a habitual place for maintaining life or health. it helps us to survive in the outer space condition where there is no oxygen and other specification concerning to support life. Life support module could be including crew, food production, air revitalization, water recovery, solid waste incineration and power source. The potential life support module that i would suggest, regarding to China’s Moon laboratory observation, since it’s need an environment to stay in a long-term in a self contained space, and since they’re doing experiment about crops and vegetables cultivation in moon environment. i would like to use this occassion to suggest for a hydroponic plants cultivation.
    b). Plant can produce oxygen; and hydroponic plant can produce more oxygen than ordinary plant. so, it will benefit both in cultivating plant and oxygen production. it is so important for living in the moon environment, since it’s the new way to develop cultivating method and providing breathable oxygen and human-friendly environment. for the water management, as NASA has discovered it before, the water for watering plant can be from recycling wastewater, urine and humidity for reuse as a clean water using the help of bacteria.
    2. by seeing the behavior and facial expression and also the action that the volunteers taken towards the situation, also by analyze the way of interaction and communication between the volunteers can provide some information about mental issue based on analyzing the human expression under the control of experieced and certified phychologist.

  10. 1. a) The life support system is a system that can recycling 100% of air and water (human-friendly environment). Photosynthesis of plant use carbon dioxide to produce oxygen. After that human use oxygen for breathing. For the water management, plant can use wastewater (it consists of many nutrient) for growth of plant.
    b) Because this function can help us to survive in the China’s Moon environment laboratory where there is no oxygen and other specification concerning to support life.
    2. We can see the behavior, facial expression and action of the student via CCTV. which the CCTV attach with face sensor. The face sensor could be detected by monitors with some color, which every color is determined for different emotion. So we will know if one of the student was sad (blue), angry (red), confuse (gray), or happy (green) etc.
